Student Educational Programs
Phoenix-Talent Rising Academy
Students came to TMC for weekly programming to fulfill an elective credit. Learning adventures include bed making and print making.
New Bridge High School
As part of our work with the Oregon Youth Authority, adjudicated youth learned laser engraving, CNC machining, and how to use their on-site vinyl cutter. Youth also built custom ukuleles.
Phoenix Talent Schools - Transitions Program
In partnership with PTS, we engaged young adults who experience cognitive, behavioral , or physical barriers. Students practiced carpentry and art as part of their life skills curriculum.
Maslow Project
Students who qualify for receiving Maslow services - youth experiencing homelessness - worked with us building beds, making corn hole sets, and fixing bikes.
Logos Charter School
Students come to TMC for weekly programming to fulfill elective credits. Learning adventures include print making, wood working, and ceramics.
Out-of-School (after school & winter) Programming
Phoenix Talent Elementary and Talent Middle School students who qualify for migrant education services participated in various learning adventures including 3D printing, robotics, print making and bike mechanics.
Project Youth Plus Interns
Young adults work with staff to build employability skills and work experience. Two interns were hired as staff upon completion of PYP hours.

The Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon
Youth and families engaged in various learning adventures including print making, robotics, and wheel mechanics.
Summer STEAM
Summer STEAM camps with Phoenix/Talent elementary and middle school students identified for migrant and/or special services. Learning adventures included 3D printing, robotics, print making, ceramics, instrument making, and woodworking.
Sacramento County Day School
High school juniors engaged in hands on, creative STEAM stations which included screen printing, vinyl cutting, ceramics, 3D printing, and CNC machining while visiting Southern Oregon for Oregon Shakespeare Festival plays.
Black Alliance for Social Empowerment (B.A.S.E.)
Students chose to make items for community service, for personal interest, or for the group’s Kwanzaa celebration in December.

Lights on Bikes
Community bike decorating workshop followed by community event riding decorated bikes around Talent to view holiday lights and support local businesses (263 riders + over 100 parade viewers)
